Abstract
Methanol oxidation on Pt-Rh alloys of different compositions in sulfuric ac id solution was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV). Rh increases the activi ty of Pt electrodes for methanol oxidation, specially for the 87-13 Pt-Rh a lloy. This enhancement is discussed and attributed to a bifunctional mechan ism.
