Abstract
In a rotary kiln plant with gl ate type preheater balancing measuremen ts are carried out in order to clear up the behaviour of a total of 23 trace elements. Input and output element-specific mass flows are calc ulated from the trace element contents of corresponding material flows . The behaviour of trace elements is quantitatively demonstrated by me ans of the element-specific raw-meal/clinker factors. The trace elemen ts can be classified in the three categories ''highly volatile'', ''mo derately volatile'' or ''slightly volatile''. The dust-loaded emission s are compared with the limiting values due to the TA Luft 1986.
