In this paper plane wave reflection and transmission phenomena in slabs of
artificial anisotropic chiral media, taking into account dielectric and mag
netic properties, are theoretically considered. The artificial medium is a
superlattice of chiral layers and anisotropic magnetic layers. Biaxial symm
etry of the medium is defined by the direction of spiral inclusions and the
direction normal to the interfaces between lavers. Normal incidence is ass
umed. The effect of compensation of magnetic and dielectric anisotropy is d
iscussed. A new device based on this effect is proposed.
