Abstract
An analytic solution,for the elastic response of anisotropic composite beam s of rectangular cross section is presented. The formulation is based on th e expression of the stress tensor components as trigonometric series and ex ponential functions. The ability to predict the elastic response and the co rresponding elastic coupling mechanisms is well demonstrated and discussed.
