Abstract
Energy separation in a flow around an adiabatic circular cylinder is invest igated using a surface-mounted thermocouple. Energy separation mechanisms i n different regions around the cylinder are discussed. Velocity measurement s near the rear stagnation point and acoustic measurements indicate that sh edding vortices and the wind tunnel intrinsic resonant acoustics can streng then each other when their frequencies match Producing strong energy separa tion.
