Abstract
A numerical calculation has been carried out to investigate the mixed conve ction heat transfer in inclined rectangular ducts with wall transpiration. The vorticity-velocity method is employed to solve the governing equations. The present paper particularly addresses the effects of the independent pa rameters, namely, mixed convection parameter Delta, modified Rayleigh numbe r Ra*, wall Reynolds number Re-w and aspect ratio gamma. The predicted resu lts show that either wall injection or wall suction has a considerable impa ct on the flow structure and heat transfer performance. Additionally, it wa s found that for injection case (Re-w < 0), the Nusselt number Nu is retard ed with an increase in the wall Reynolds number Re-w but the trend is rever se for the suction flow (Re-w >0).
