Abstract
This paper presents the results following the researches concerning surface s kinematic generation using CNC machines. The generation method of the rev olutionary complex surfaces having three-dimensional contouring (3D generat ion method) is modelled, using the die-sinking EDM process. The machining b y spatial interpolation using disc electrodes is illustrated. In this parti cular case, the real surface profile generated by applying two correction l evels, tool correction and trajectory correction is numerically calculated. The variation in time of the real error resulted in kinematic generation b y EDM is also underlined. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserve d.
