A considerable percentage of learning disorders are caused by neurolog
ic diseases. The physician fan be of immense help to the child diagnos
ed with seizures, migraine, lead poisoning, drug abuse, Wilson's disea
se, and brain tumors. There is a need for an aggressive approach by th
e physician in dealing with the child diagnosed with learning disorder
s: detailed clinical evaluation is necessary to exclude possible neuro
logic disorders. A multidisciplinary approach may be indicated in diff
icult cases, and an attempt to establish a diagnosis must be made in a
ll cases.
