Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel silicon-on-insulator (Sol) Michelson inte rferometer sensor with waveguide Bragg reflective gratings as a high-sensit ivity temperature sensor. Due to the Sol waveguide, the Bragg reflective gr ating has a larger thermal expansion coefficient than the fiber Bragg grati ng (FBG); the temperature sensitivity of the Sol Michelson interferometer s ensor is 20 times higher than the FBG sensor.
