Abstract
The discovery of 15 new cataclysmic variables in the Edinburgh-Cape Blue Ob ject Survey is announced. Photometric and spectroscopic observations are pr esented including high-speed photometry and time-resolved spectroscopy. On the basis of these data the systems are classified as dwarf novae and nova- like variables. In addition, two of them are of uncertain subtypes because of their peculiar behaviour.
