We have built a Silicon Pad Detector for experiment E-835 at Fermilab.
The detector general features are (a) compactness; (b) good resolutio
n on the longitudinal track coordinate (along the beam); (c) capabilit
y of delivering pixel information; (d) full geometrical acceptance in
the solid angle covered by the experiment; (e) good transparency; and
(f) fast multiplexed read out. These characteristics will prove partic
ularly effective to identify and reconstruct the Phi Phi --> 4K final
state, thus allowing the experiment to study the elusive P-1(1) charmo
nium slate in this decay channel too.
