In medical procedure, the psychiatric symptom has a specific role, whi

g as curing. Nevertheless, the psychiatric symptom is subjected to a v
ariety of different ideological approaches, each of which which determ
ine its usage. Current identification of the heath professions in rela
tion to the medical professions points to the fact that psychiatric sy
mptoms are no longer the unifying factor in care practice.
