B. Rumpf et Ac. Newell, Coherent structures and entropy in constrained, modulationally unstable, nonintegrable systems - art. no. 054102, PHYS REV L, 8705(5), 2001, pp. 4102
Many studies have shown that nonintegrable systems with modulational instab
ilities constrained by more than one conservation law exhibit universal lon
g time behavior involving large coherent structures in a sea of small fluct
uations. We show how this behavior can be explained in detail by simple the
rmodynamic arguments.
