Abstract
Isoscalar monopole and dipole resonances in Zr-90, Sn-116, Sm-144, and Pb-2 08 are studied within the framework of self-consistent HF-RPA or HF-BCS plu s quasiparticle RPA. A comparison with recent experimental data obtained at Texas A&M University, as well as the problems related to the determination of the nuclear incompressibility K-infinity is discussed.
