Abstract
Three-dimensional (3D) transport benchmark problems for simple geometries w
ith void region were proposed at the OECD/NEA in order to check the accurac
y of deterministic 3D transport programs. The exact total fluxes by the ana
lytical method are given for the pure absorber cases, and Monte Carlo value
s are given for the 50% scattering cases as the reference values. The total
fluxes of all contributions to the present benchmark problems calculated b
y the 3D transport programs, TORT, TORT with FNSUNCL3, PARTISN, PENTRAN, ID
T, MCCG3D, EVENT and ARDRA are compared in figures. (C) 2001 Elsevier Scien
