Abstract
Reference Solutions for the 3-D transport benchmark problems proposed by Ko bayashi are presented. They were obtained by the multigroup Monte Carlo cod e GMVP with the point-detector estimator. The statistical uncertainties (la ) are less than 1 % at all the calculation points. The GMVP results show go od agreement with the analytical solutions by Kobayashi and the MCNP soluti ons for the pure absorber and 50% scattering cases, respectively. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
