Abstract
An efficient method for the synthesis of new [2-(alkylarylthio)ethyl]pyridi nes was developed, The method is based on one-step mono- and polyalkylchlor osulfonation of arenes with complex electrophilic reagents (RX-HSO3Cl, RX = But(t)Cl, and 1-AdBr).
