Abstract
Polysubstituted 4-cyano-4-phenylsulfonylbutyric esters are prepared by the addition of bromoacetate to 1-cyano-1-phenylsulfonyl alkenes mediated by Zn /Cp2TiCl2(cat.) at room temperature in good to high yield.
