Abstract
Beckmann rearrangement of ketoximes is achieved efficiently by anhydrous Fe Cl3 in the absence of solvent. Unsymmetrical oximes are selectively produce d one of the two possible products in good yields. Similar reactions are no t occurred in the presence of solvent.
