Abstract
An intramolecular interaction between a thiocarbonyl group and a pyridinium nucleus was found in nicotinium salt 1 having a 1,3-thiazolidine-2-thione moiety, which was elucidated by comparing the H-1 NMR chemical shifts and t he X-ray structure with those of standards 2 and 3.
