Abstract
We report for the first time on Buff-necked Ibis (Theristicus caudatus) gre eting and courtship displays during nest building. Displays included both i ndividual and simultaneous Up-down Displays and Stick Shaking. The nesting attempt was brought to ail abrupt end, apparently by interactions with Cres ted Caracaras (Polyborus plancus) and/or interspecific competition with woo d Storks (Mycteria americana) for nest material.
