Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify any correlations between the presence of a marked cognitive deficit and insight impairment, depressive symptoms a nd suicidal ideation. The test sample was composed of 24 subjects (10 males and 14 females) with a mean age of 74.9 +/- 6.7 years. Bearing in mind the smale size of the test sample, results do, however, suggest that there is no real correlation between awareness of cognitive deficit, depressive symp toms and suicidal ideation or behavior.
