Abstract
'Benchmarking' clinical practice and integrating such data with national gu idelines offers a way ef establishing standards for use in clinical governa nce we report on a feasibility project for benchmarking clinical practice i n one topic area (otitis media) using simulated clinical scenarios, Consist ency and variations in clinical management were identified or different sce narios. Participants perceived the process likely to reflect actual practic e and effect change in clinical management.
