Abstract
A probe-fed equilateral triangular microstrip patch antenna mounted on a cylindrical body is analyzed based on a cavity-model theory. Expres sions for the far-zone radiated field and input impedance of the the a ntenna are derived, and numerical results as a function of the ground cylinder radius are calculated and analyzed.
