Abstract
A method is described based on the selective extraction of zinc-5,7-diiodo- 8-hydroxyquinoline-rhodamine 6G ternary ion-association complex into toluen e. Zinc contents as low as 0.005-0.15 ppm in soil and sediment samples can be readily determined. The relative standard deviation for 10 replicate mea surements of Zn at a level of 0,025 ppm is 1.34%.
