Abstract
We describe a rare case of multiple myeloma with marked hypointense areas o n both T1- and T2-weighted images. Amyloid deposition and calcification wer e not found histologically. Hypointensity on T2-weighted images may be caus ed by distributed free radicals produced by significant macrophages. (C) 20 01 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
