The problem of scattered broadband source localisation is addressed. It is
shown that an accurate localisation requires both spatial and temporal proc
essing of the array data owing to coherence loss across the array due to th
e scattering being frequency-selective. A computationally efficient localis
ation algorithm is then developed, based on applying the covariance matchin
g method to the frequency domain snapshots. The main feature of the algorit
hm is that no model is required for the spatial coherence loss function.
