A wavelet domain communication system architecture is shown, capable of pro
viding acceptable communication performance while 'avoiding' spectral regio
ns containing interference. Demonstrated bit error rate improvement average
d 5.7 and 12.4dB using orthogonal and antipodal data modulation, respective
ly, over a range of interference energy-to-signal energy (LE) ratios of 0 t
o 16dB.
