Abstract
Co-existence of pituitary adenomas and meningiomas is rare. Extensive revie w of the literature reveals only 32 cases with this association if meningio mas appearing after radiation therapy for pituitary tumors are excluded. Th ere is a female preponderance and the meningiomas are usually located in th e immediate vicinity of the pituitary. Although it is likely caused by chan ce occurrence, genetic dysregulation leading to the development of these tu mors can not be ruled out.
