Abstract
An active set algorithm tailored to quadratically constrained quadratic pro gramming in model predictive control (MPC) is presented. It enables efficie nt use of augmented ellipsoidal invariant sets in conjunction with polytopi c constraints in triple mode MPC. The algorithm gives improved optimality a nd larger stabilizable initial condition sets than conventional quadratic p rogramming MPC algorithms of comparable online computational burden.
