The (Ne + H-2) plasma in a hollow cathode glow discharge has been investiga
ted. A theoretical description of (Ne + H-2) plasma has been made by consid
ering the main elementary processes including the vibrational kinetics. Bas
ed on the results obtained from the model an emission method has been devel
oped for H- concentration measurement. The results obtained by this emissio
n method are compared with those obtained by the photodetachment method.
