Abstract
An iodine transport hydrothermal route has been developed to prepare PbSnS3 nanorods at 200 degreesC for the first time. X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy results show the as-synthesized PbSnS3 dis plays rod-like morphology with diameters of 50-60 nm and lengths of up to a few micrometers. The as-prepared PbSnS3 nanorods is also investigated by R aman spectra. The various factors influencing the formation of the PbSnS3 n anorods were discussed. (C) 2001 Academic Press.
