Ak. Campbell et Cy. Choi, SB ACRYLIC TECHNOLOGY - CLOSING THE PERFORMANCE GAP, The Journal of the American Leather Chemists Association, 92(1), 1997, pp. 17-21
Acrylic polymers have found extensive use in leather finishing. The ba
sic properties that these polymers offer are softness, heat and light
stability, and favorable economics. The SE line of polymers have been
developed to extend the performance of soft acrylic polymers. The SE p
olymers use new technology to obtain a soft hand with improved embossi
ng plate release and print retention, higher flexibility, and now, bet
ter rub resistance. With improved performance, these polymers represen
t a new generation of acrylics that are alternatives to polyurethane a
nd butadiene systems typically used in performance oriented applicatio
ns.
