Abstract
Agriculture is a major contributor to the pollution of the Baltic Sea Area. In order to reduce marine environment pollution and to improve environment al quality the states of the Baltic sea basin established the Helsinki comm ission, which includes also a group of agricultural experts. The contributi on describes objectives, tasks and organisation of the Working Group on Agr iculture of the Helsinki Commission (HELCOM WGA), for the protection of the Baltic Sea environment.
