The influence of the local field on the competition of transitions in the p
rocess of superradiance in an incompletely excited thin layer of three-leve
l atoms (a A scheme of working transitions) is studied. Our analysis shows
that, in the case when the upper sublevel of the lower doublet is depopulat
ed, a superradiance regime where the Raman transition occurs ahead of the s
uperradiance pulse may exist.
