Unsolved problems in the theory of dynamics in homogeneous and heterogeneous polymer networks

A brief review related to some unsolved problems of the dynamic theory of p olymer networks and to possible ways of solving them is presented. The comp arative role of small-scale intrachain and long-scale collective interchain relaxation processes, the influence of long-range hydrodynamic interaction s between the network elements and the effective viscous medium, and the pr oblem of the structure heterogeneity of polymer networks are considered. Ne w approaches for theoretical treatment of these problems are proposed and d iscussed.
