Abstract
For optimal performance of P-31 MRS at 1.5 Tesla, the use of a double reson ant probe is essential to enable the application of H-1 decoupling and Nucl ear Overhauser Enhancement. This note describes the design, evaluation and safety validation of a versatile and compact probe optimized for H-1 decoup led P-31 MRS studies of tumors close to the surface of the body, in particu lar the head and neck region.
