Abstract
We calculate exactly the two bound Floquet modes of linear waveguide i nduced in a medium by a second-order soliton of the nonlinear Schrodin ger equation. The modes are degenerate at the writing frequency, havin g the same quasi-propagation constant, which suggests applications of our method to spectral filtering. (C) 1997 Optical Society of America.
