Abstract
A rectangular cavity-backed active microstrip patch antenna has been i nvestigated. Experimental results show that 25dB oscillator noise redu ction can be achieved for the active patch antenna at a carrier freque ncy of 4.1GHz and an offset frequency of 8kHz by using a rectangular c avity.
