Abstract
A statistical model for the IR-indoor-diffuse channel is presented, ba sed on estimation of the parameters (tau(rms) and tau(m)) of the impul se response h(t). From these values, the authors compare the use of Ra yleigh or Gamma distributions to fit the h(t) shape. A power budget ap proach is considered for estimating the gain parameter.
