Abstract
A block coding scheme has previously been proposed using maximal-lengt h sequences to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAP) for orthog onal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). It has also been claimed that PAP can be limited to the range 0.08 - 0.6dB for some m-sequences . These numbers are incorrect and m-sequences can only yield PAP value s in the range 5 - 7dB.
