Toward the multiphoton parametric oscillators

We propose novel types of accessible for an experiment parametric oscillato rs generating both three-photon and four-photon bright light. The devices a re based on the cascaded down-conversion processes and consist of second-or der media inserted in two- and three-resonant mode cavities. Discussion of dissipation and quantum features of the system is performed by the quantum- jump simulation method and concerns to the Wigner functions. (C) 2001 Elsev ier Science B.V.
