Abstract
Bismuth crystals are studied under the joint action of a pulse electric cur rent and a constant magnetic field. It is shown that the combined effect of a constant magnetic field and pulse current leads to a substantial decreas e in the mean linear density of twinning dislocations piled up at the bound aries of wedge twins. The decrease in the mean linear density of twinning d islocations is accompanied by a decrease in the microhardness of the sample s. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
