Abstract
A bismuth(III) ethylenediaminetetraacetate complex with protonated thiosemi carbazide as a cation, (CH6N3S)[Bi(Edta)(H2O)], was synthesized, and its cr ystal structure was determined. The structure is composed of (CH6N3S)(+) ca tions and [Bi(Edta)(H2O)](-) complex anions united into a three-dimensional framework by hydrogen bonds. Discrete mononuclear complex anions [Bi(Edta) (H2O)](-) with the bismuth coordination number of 7 were found for ethylene diaminetetraacetatobismuthates(III) for the first time.
