Abstract
Palladium extraction from chloride solutions over a wide range of aqueous a cidities by di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate and di(2-ethylhexyl)dithiophosphate o f bis-quaternary ammonium bases (bis-QABs) was studied. Spectroscopic studi es showed that palladium extraction by bis-QAB dialkylphosphate has a binar y mechanism and that extraction by bis-QAB dialkyldithiophosphate yields in ixed-ligand complexes or PdA(2) in the organic phase depending on the initi al concentration ratio of the extractant to palladium.
