Abstract
Stereocontrolled synthesis of the HI/JK ring model of the prymnesins, glyos idic toxins isolated from the red tide phytoflagellate Prymnesium parvum, i s described. Comparison of its H-1 and C-13 NMR data with those of the natu ral toxins established the earlier stereochemical assignments. (C) 2001 Els evier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
