Abstract
Amino acid derived 2-nitrobenzenesulfonamides were successfully condensed u
nder Mitsunobu conditions with the primary alcohol of various saccharide an
d nucleoside derivatives to furnish the fully protected hybrids in excellen
t yield. One such hybrid was incorporated into a short peptide sequence in
