Abstract
Arterial embolization is a safe and effective treatment for persistent post -partum haemorrhage that is unresponsive to conservative management. Emboli zation should be the treatment of choice in these patients provided that su itable radiological skills and equipment are available. Embolization is pot entially useful in patients with antepartum haemorrhage in the last trimest er or in patients at high risk for antepartum haemorrhage.
