Abstract
The state of the ecosystem of Anticosti Island, Quebec, was studied by vete rinary students (n = 17) and faculty (n = 4) in the summer of 1999. The fie ld of ecosystem health is an integrative science requiring the expertise of professionals in several disciplines, including socioeconomic, ecological, biophysical, human health, and animal health (1).
