Abstract
We report the case of a 50-year-old man who developed a febrile illness fou r days after injection sclerotherapy of his haemorrhoids. The patient incre asingly became unwell and was eventually found to have multiple hepatic abs cesses. He made a complete recovery with antibiotic therapy.
